Kim Holl

Biography:

Kim Holl is an inspired functional potter who treasures seeing a customer’s wishes become realized in her work and seeing those same pieces being used every day.  She is often commissioned to make dinnerware sets, wedding plates or even entire wedding registries due to her accommodating ability with clay.  Kim was not always driven to be a potter in the past, however in time she spent more time at the wheel with her father, Harry Holl, as her mentor who has always been a heavy influence on her work’s shapes and styles.  She loves when people visit the shop and watch her throw and hopes in the future to teach more.  Her first student is her son, Josie Canning, extending the family roots of Scargo Pottery.  Kim is the perfect potter to help move a person’s vision into reality as she thoroughly enjoys “watching someone else’s dream come true.”
