Meden Parker

Meden Parker first put his hands in clay at Dennis-Yarmouth High School. After graduation, Meden attended UMass-Dartmouth, but with clay on his mind, he found his way to Scargo Pottery in the fall of 1996. Scargo Pottery quickly became his school, where he learned from master potter Harry Holl.

Over the next several years, Meden explored working on the wheel and learning all aspects of a potter's life. The Scargo Pottery family became an increasingly larger part of his life. After twenty years, he became partners with Tina and Kim Holl at the pottery shop.

More recently, Meden has been exploring tile and sculpture works. But his driving force and first love remains throwing at the wheel. He has exhibited works in several shows and has many notable installations. One of the most significant is a castle displayed at the Cape Cod Hospital. Meden is most proud of the daily effort that he and his partners put forth helping to preserve Harry's legacy at Scargo Pottery.
